Korean Japanese Cuisine Restaurant
122 Liverpool Street
Sydney NSW 20009262 7288"
The good thing about Korean restaurants is that they normally come with a complementary side dish / appetizer:
Pickled Cabbage
Japanese Potato Salad with Apple
Kimchi
Potato Stew
This is what we ordered:
Mixed Sprouts with KimChi served with Noodles and spicy sauce $13.00
Takoyaki
Marinated eels on a hot plate $25.00 (but we got it on lunch special price)
I can't remember the price...? Haha, but I think it was quite dear for what it was worth. I would personally be content going to Takumi with their $2.50 flat sushi. But, this was a different experience. The ambiance was warm, inviting and the use of their all round wooden furniture brought out the Japanese bamboo-like architecture. The food was good, portion size was adequate and they offered Korean BBQ and stews (only to be quite dear). The complementary appetizers were cute, but not surprising for this type of restaurant. Service was good as I recall.
